Since more and more people are struggling financially, the government's aid is insufficiently helpful for them. In addition, many people wish to provide funds to support different causes. The Association gathered voluntary contributions of funds, assets, and knowledge from a variety of contributors to establish the International Dokmei Association Southeast Asia, Laos, a non-profit organisation that would carry out its activities on a regular basis.
The Association has provided its own financial, technical, and academic resources in a transparent, open, democratic, and equal manner, seeking funds from both domestic and foreign sources to help achieve the Association's goals, and is legally responsible for all the Association's duties.
The association's mission is to be a charitable organisation in the hearts of Lao people as a medium for the faithful to provide long-term assistance to people in need, with a new concept that emphasises working efficiently and effectively for every giving to create the greatest public benefit in the following missions.
The International Dokmei Association Southeast Asia, Laos is a social organisation with members and operations throughout the country. The Association is responsible for raising funds and receiving support, donations, and assets from individuals and legal entities both domestically and internationally, in accordance with applicable government laws and regulations to provide humanitarian assistance and alleviate people's suffering.
The Association's goals and objectives are to support the Party's and the government's policies in developing and constructing infrastructure, as well as promoting access to government services by all ethnic groups (women, the disadvantaged, the disabled, and all ethnic groups), including encouraging people and communities to grow modern organic vegetables to generate income for the community and meet market demand.
The Executive Committee of the International Dokmei Association Southeast Asia, Laos is a regular member and is responsible for overseeing and directing all Association activities, as well as approving key matters.
